On The Write Page

Beth Rubin is an award-winning writer of both fiction and non-fiction. She's been at it longer than her picture suggests. Her novel, Split Ends, is in print, and she's working on a second. She also writes travel books and essays. Beth is an exemplary book editor. She has empathy, insight and humor. She's been through the wringer herself and knows what you will need to do to get a literary agent and a publisher. She knows about self-publishing too. She's spoken at writers' conferences and held many a writer's trembling hand. You'll respect each other in the morning.

Peter Benesh has been a journalist and newspaper and book editor for even more years than Beth. He's intense and driven. He's a perfectionist about logic, fact, point of view and all those other essentials you can read about on our What We Do page. Writers may curse him at first. That's because he pushes them to think and work hard.

They thank him later. Ask Beth. He has a passion for the language and a determination that authors shall prevail over the forces of darkness that inhabit the publishing netherworld. Go ahead, Google him.

Vic Spindler knows how to put a message into an image. Vic's been a graphic and digital artist since ...well... a long time. He's worked at (but never for) ad agencies, TV networks and an online marketing firm. He's an obliging fellow. Back when he worked at CBS, he had to paint a mustache on Jackie Gleason's publicity shot. A little while later he had to remove it when the Great One nixed it. Vic is as patient now as he was then. He's a font of wisdom and fond of fonts. He can make your book jacket compelling and your Web site magnetic. Look at his jackets on our Artwork page.
